GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Recoleta is a downtown residential neighborhood in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina; it is an area of great historical and architectural interest, due its European-inspired architecture as well as the distinguished Recoleta Cemetery.

CENTRO CULTURAL RECOLETA AND MUSEO NACIONAL DE BELLAS ARTES
The Recoleta Cultural Centre is an exhibition and cultural events centre located in the barrio of Recoleta, Buenos Aires. It holds sculptures and exhibitions, as well as concerts and artistic presentations and workshops of diverse types.
The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes is an Argentine art museum in Buenos Aires, also located in the Recoleta section of the city. The MNBA inaugurated a branch in Neuquén in 2004.
FLORALIS GENÉRICA
Floralis Genérica is a sculpture made of steel and aluminum located in Plaza de las Naciones Unidas, Avenida Figueroa Alcorta, Buenos Aires. It is a gift to the city by the Argentine architect Eduardo Catalano. The sculpture was designed to move, closing its petals in the evening and opening them in the morning.
IGLESIA NUESTRA SENORA DEL PILAR
The church of Our Lady of the Pillar is a basilica located in the district of Recoleta in the city of Buenos Aires. Its construction - that concluded in the year 1732 - is due to the Aragonese patron Juan de Narbona. Since the 19th century, it is one of the most visited parishes of the city of Buenos Aires and the second oldest temple of the city. This colonial church features ornate altars & a small museum for religious art.
RECOLETA CEMETERY
La Recoleta Cemetery is a cemetery located in the Recoleta neighbourhood of Buenos Aires The cemetery contains many elaborate marble mausoleums, decorated with statues, in a wide variety of architectural styles such as Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Baroque, and Neo-Gothic. Most materials used between 1880 and 1930 in the construction of tombs were imported from Paris and Milan.
