GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Colon Street is an historical area in downtown Cebu City, that is often called the oldest and the shortest national road in the Philippines. It is the center of a dense and compact area in downtown Cebu City that was once the heart of Cebu City's shopping and business activity, with fashionable shops, restaurants and movie theaters.

BASILICA MINORE DEL SANTO NINO
The Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebú, commonly known as the Santo Niño Basilica, is a minor basilica in Cebu City, founded in the 1565 by Frays Andrés de Urdaneta and Diego de Herrera. It is the oldest Roman Catholic church in the country, and was built on the spot where the image of the Santo Niño de Cebú was found during the expedition of Miguel López de Legazpi.
PLAZA INDIPENDENCIA
Plaza Independencia is the most historically-significant plaza in Cebu. Its age-old acacia trees are witness to the many phases and stories of Cebu’s history. An obelisk dedicated to the memory of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, the first Spanish governor-general of the Philippines, is planted at the very heart of the plaza.
