GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Yemin Moshe is a neighborhood of Jerusalem, built at the end of the 19th century by Moses Montefiore, following the overcrowding of the Old City. The first set of houses (Mishkenot Shaananim) were the first Jewish properties built outside the Old City. Today, the neighborhood’s quaint streets and stone buildings are a popular tourist attraction.
