The Mount of Olives or Mount Olivet is a mountain ridge east of Jerusalem's Old City, with an elevation of 826 m (2,710 ft). It is named for the olive groves that once covered its slopes.

OLD CITY

The Old City is a 0.9 square kilometers (0.35 sq mi) walled area within the modern city of Jerusalem. It is is roughly divided (going counterclockwise from the northeastern corner) into the Muslim Quarter, Christian Quarter, Armenian Quarter and Jewish Quarter. The Old City's monumental defensive walls and city gates were built in the years 1535–1542 by the Turkish sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.

YEMIN MOSHE

Yemin Moshe is an upscale neighborhood of Jerusalem, surrounded by gardens with a panoramic view of the Old City walls. The original complex of buildings was turned into a cultural center and guesthouse for writers, intellectuals and musicians. The neighborhood's iconic windmill is featured in paintings and literature about Jerusalem and marks the Jewish expansion of the city towards the west.
