The Four-faced Buddah seats in a Thai-style pavilion, surrounded by stone elephants, mythical birds and flower wreaths.This gold-leaf clad statue is a popular "praying stopover" for gamblers on their way to the neighboring Jockey Club and casino.

PAK TAI TEMPLE

The Pak Tai temple is dedicated to Pak Tai (literally ‘Northern Emperor’) who is believed to have the divine power to withstand floods and fire. In celebration of the Feast of Pak Tai on the 3th day of the 3rd month of the Lunar Calendar, performances of Chinese opera are usually held in a mat-shed in front of the Temple.

TAIPA OLD VILLAGE

The Taipa Village is a small and peaceful community with narrow streets and picturesque markets. Portuguese-style offices, ancient temples and colonial villas blend effortlessly with the area’s old-fashioned street lamps, hanging flower baskets and street vendors.
