DJOSER PYRAMID AND FUNERARY COMPLEX
The Pyramid of Djoser, or step pyramid is an archeological remain in the Saqqara necropolis. It was built during the 27th century BC for the burial of the Pharaoh Djoser by his vizier, Imhotep. It is the central feature of a vast mortuary complex in an enormous courtyard surrounded by ceremonial structures and decoration.
RED PYRAMID
The Red Pyramid, also called the North Pyramid, is the largest of the three major pyramids located in the Dahshur necropolis. Named for the rusty reddish hue of its red limestone stones, it is also the third largest Egyptian pyramid, after those of Khufu and Khafra at Giza. It is also believed to be Egypt's first successful attempt at constructing a ""true"" smooth-sided pyramid.
