ALAEDDIN CAMII

The Alâeddin Mosque is the most important monument in Konya. The building served as the ""Mosque of the Throne"" for the Seljuq Sultans of Rum and contains the dynastic mausoleum.

The Aziziye Mosque is an Ottoman mosque in the Karatay district of Konya.

İplikçi Camii is a mosque dating from the 13th century, located between the city centre and the Mevlana Museum. It is a nice example of the Seljuk architecture.

SELIMIYE CAMII

The Selimiye Mosque is an Ottoman mosque in Konya, built in 1558.

SEMS-I TEBRIZI CAMII & TOMB

The Semsi Tebrizi Mosque is named after Semsi Tebrizi (Shams-i Tabrizi), the teacher of Mohammad Jelaleddin Rumi (Mevlana). The mosque is situated inside the Sems Park. The building was restored by Abdurrezakoglu Emir Ishak Bey in the 16th century and a prayer room has been added. Characteristic geometrical motifs can be observed at the ceiling. The tomb of Mevlana himself is located in the complex.

SERAFEDDIN CAMII

One of the most famous mosques in Konya, the Serafeddin mosque is located in the center of the city, next to the Konya Government House. It was built by Sheikh Şerafettin Mes'ud in the 16th century, then demolished and rebuilt in 1636 by Çavuşoğlu Mehmet Bey.
