GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Ibarra is a city in northern Ecuador and the capital of the Imbabura Province. It lies at the foot of the Imbabura Volcano and on the left bank of the Tahuando river. It is about 70 kilometres northeast of Ecuador's capital Quito.

CAPILLA EPISCOPAL
Built at the beginning od the 20th century, the Episcopal Chapel has an eclectic style predominating the Neogothic style patterns of Romanesque origin. It is surrounded by buildings of modern style such as the Municipality of Ibarra, the Banco de Fomento and traditional buildings such as the Governorate (Torreon).
IGLESIA SANTO DOMINGO
The Santo Domingo Church is located in the Boyacá square, dating from the time of the founding of Ibarra. It has a beautiful stone façade and its altar is dedicated to the Virgin of the Rosary. It also exhibits a great variety of pictorial works and sculptures framed with wooden altarpieces.
