GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The cotton tree ("Ceiba Pentandra") is a tropical tree native to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, northern South America, and tropical west Africa. Kapok or cotton tree is the most used common name, as it refers to the cotton-like fluff obtained from its seed pods.
