CATEDRAL SANTIAGO APOSTOL

The Cathedral St. James the Apostle is located in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros and was built in honor of St. James the Greater.

The modern center of Santiago offers art galleries, audiovisual presentations, cinemacafe, museums, a library and multimedia services. Local and international expos are organized regularly.

EL MONUMENTO

El Monumento is located on a hill in the center of Santiago, with spectacular views of the city and surrounding mountains. The monument is dedicated to the heroes of the Dominican Restoration War, fought from 1863 to 1865 against Dominican Colonist and Spanish forces.
